Warehouse Worker Position

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for all aspects of warehouse work, including providing support for the activities of installers and maintaining the warehouse, office building and grounds.

Department: Branch Operations

Reports to: Branch Manager or Production Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Tracks and maintains neat and organized inventory
• Performs general maintenance tasks, which include (but are not limited to):
  • Sweeping/mopping/vacuuming as necessary
  • Cleaning trucks (both inside and out)
  • Maintaining parking and lawn areas
  • Collecting and removing trash
  • Upkeep restrooms
  • Organizing shelving, mirror and shower door area
  • Painting
• Works with gutter crew to organize and prepare scrap aluminum for shipment to salvage yard
• Inspects trucks weekly for safety kits and MSDS sheets
• Performs administrative work as needed
• Loads and logs materials onto truck and make notation of returned materials
• Delivers material/transporting employees to job sites
• Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver’s license in the state employed
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in the construction industry preferred
• Ability to perform basic math skills

None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to drive a car and lift a minimum of 10 pounds. Able to push brooms, mops, vacuum cleaner, lawn mower, etc. Must be able to bend, twist and turn body at shoulders, waist and knees to handle materials. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Works inside and outside as needed.
